We offer you a choice of delightful settings for your meal, inside and out. Reception drinks are usually served in the Library, the Ante Room and the Bar, overlooking the Italian Terrace and the Gardens. When the weather is fine, guests stroll out onto the terrace, and we serve drinks there, as the sun sets behind the beech trees.

The Hall, just inside the front door, accommodates up to 30 people for dinner: it is particularly effective at night, when you can light the huge log fire and the candlelight casts a glow on the faces of the diners. The family portraits create a suitably historic backcloth to the meal.

The Library is a delightfully sunny south-facing room, ideal for up to 20 people. The magnificent crystal chandelier sets the right tone for an evening of splendour.

For smaller groups, up to 12 people, the Ante Room is the perfect setting with views across the Gardens.

All food is prepared by our dedicated team of outside caterers, and we can send you a fantastic array of menus to choose from. We can arrange a champagne reception, table-centre flower arrangements, wines and mineral waters accompanying the meal and include service and the site fee. That way you know exactly how much the meal is going to cost before you sit down, and you can relax even when you see the umpteenth bottle of wine being poured.

If you are planning an event for parties of up to 120 people, look at the Pavilion where people can enjoy their meal in great comfort with stunning views over the Gardens. There isn't another setting like it in the area.

Built in 2007, The Hodsock Pavilion is a wonderful space available to hire for any kind of event. Many prospective clients have fallen in love with Hodsock, only to be frustrated by a lack of internal space. Over the years we have been able to accommodate many of these events in luxurious marquees, but we really missed having that lovely big room that would have accommodated the big dinner, meeting or presentation in spacious comfort, indoors.

The Hodsock Pavilion is the most exciting development to have taken place at Hodsock for over a hundred years. It has taken us 4 years of planning, 12 months of sensitive and intricate building work and £1.5 million to turn that dream into reality.

It has been designed to meet the needs of today's event organiser, combining flexibility, accessibility and convenience. With underfloor heating and quiet air conditioning, excellent acoustics by design, in-built PA system for amplification, adjustable lighting from near darkness to as bright as you want it, networked computer points linked to category six cabling. It’s a modern addition that blends in to the original features of the house. Light, airy and very spacious: it easily accommodate 120 people - see the suggested room layouts.

A brand new state-of-the-art kitchen has been installed to ensure that the catering is tip-top. The Hodsock Bar is like no other, fully stocked with everything you’d expect as well as free flowing tea and coffee. Happy staff smile more and offer much better service so we have renovated the vaulted basement to include a wine cellar and a staff room, to guarantee that your guests continue to receive the friendly, helpful service that has long been a notable feature of every event held at Hodsock.

For Large Events, marquees are placed on the Italian Terrace and linked to the house reception rooms by covered awnings. Marquees offer fantastic scope for events for 120-500 people. The marquees offer Carpeted Wooden Floors, Chandelier Lighting, Tables, Bentwood Chairs and a Dance Floor. They are fully lined, lit and heated, look beautiful and feel wonderful.

The Gardens and The Park offer plenty of opportunities for corporate entertainment, staff away days and family fun days. Wine Tasting, Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting, 4x4, Falconry displays, Opera evenings, Proms nights, Ascot race days, Medieval Jousting and Hot Air Ballooning are amongst the activities we have seen at Hodsock.
