The Pavilion Restored
In 2007, we started a 3 year restoration programme for Hodsock Priory, spending £1.8 million.
We as a family are continuing a tradition of welcoming guests to Hodsock in the 21st Century with a new look and the special atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. We are particularly pleased with our new room, The Pavilion dining room, which blends in with the beautifully restored reception rooms and luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms.
The end result is a beautiful, light, bright room that can be used for wedding receptions, large corporate events and social occasions.
The Perfect Reception Venue
Along with the intricate plasterwork and antique finishes, we’ve included all the basics needed for a good event.
Underfloor heating helps us maintain a comfortable temperature, a fully integrated PA system means that speakers and presenters can move around the room as needed and to top it off the room is drenched in natural light and there are exceptional views of the estate.
This charming space is a relaxing yet sophisticated wedding and meeting venue.
The Pavilion can seat 120 guests in cabaret style or upto 250 guests for product launches and standing events. The Library, Ante Room and Panelled Hall can be used for break out sessions and the gardens lend themselves to strolling in whenever there’s a break.
The new kitchen is well equipped for the modern day chef and is kitted out with the all the mod cons. Our external caterers are experts in weddings, fine dining and corporate entertaining and offer a range of menus to suit the occasion.
There’s plenty of free parking for guests and delegates in front of the Gatehouse and at the Coach Park with additional on-site parking for larger events.
Meetings and Corporate Hire
The Pavilion is a blank canvas to suit your requirements, from classical dining room to more dramatic themed transformations. With a high ceiling, excellent acoustics, air-conditioning, WiFi and French Windows offering views over the gardens, it has been dressed for everything from prestigious product launches to glittering awards ceremonies and has frequently been chosen by organisations as the venue to reward their employees.
It’s a place where you can really wow your clients and an impressive base for team-building or staff celebrations. Close to the A1, you’ll benefit from exclusive hire, flexible rooms, ample parking, trusted suppliers and our award-winning team at your fingertips.
The Pavilion can also be used for large conferences, seminars and launch events for up to 120 delegates.

Theatre style is traditionally used for presentations and seminars and allows organisers to hold maximum capacities. Rows of seats create an auditorium feel, hence the term ‘theatre style’.
Cabaret or classroom style
This layout is used for dinners and conferencing events. Tables of 10 delegates are usually set out in rounds or squares, to create a cabaret or classroom feel.
One large table (usually rectangular), dominates the room. This boardroom style is good for AGMs, team briefings, interviews and smaller meetings of 30 or less delegates.
The Pavilion is suitable for larger corporate events, conferences and meetings. However, many of our other rooms are also suitable for small meetings and away days.
The Pavilion in the country house can hold 180 delegates in theatre style and The Courtyard is a modern meeting venue for smaller events.
