The History of Hodsock
From the minute you enter through the spectacular Tudor Gatehouse, you’ll be transported into another world.
The house has been lovingly restored back to its former glory of 1829 by Sir Andrew and Lady Buchanan, the eighth generation of the family to reside at Hodsock Priory.
From the Panelled Hall to the Pavillion, our country house truly embodies the grandeur and luxury of its origins, offering a variety of indoor spaces for weddings and receptions, private dining, corporate events and more.

The first thing visitors notice upon arrival at Hodsock Priory is the impressive Tudor Gatehouse at the end of the mile-long drive. This historic building is one of the most unique features of the Estate, offering a breathtaking backdrop for video and photography.
The Estate spans 800 acres of charming Nottinghamshire countryside, encompassing beautifully maintained gardens and woodland areas replete with captivating flowers and wildlife. A river flows from the lake through the grounds, crossed by picturesque bridges that join the formal lawns to the rustic Nottinghamshire woodlands.
