9 reasons why you should choose an exclusive use wedding venue

Whatever size wedding, whether you’re planning a massive celebration with all of your family and friends or an intimate day with a handful of loved ones, an exclusive use wedding venue really does elevate your special day to another level. As one of Nottinghamshire’s most luxurious exclusive use country house venues, Hodsock Priory has been lucky enough to host some unforgettable wedding celebrations of all sizes. The one thing they all have in common? Each wedding party had Hodsock’s country house and grounds all to themselves. If you’re just starting out on your wedding venue search, here are 9 reasons why we think you should choose an exclusive use wedding venue for your special day.

What does exclusive use mean?

Simply put, an exclusive use wedding venue is exclusively yours for your wedding day. The duration of exclusive use varies from venue to venue. At Hodsock Priory, our spectacular country house venue nestled on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, you’ll have full use from 10:30 on the morning of your wedding until the check-out time of 10am the following morning for overnight guests.

Why should you choose an exclusive use venue?

1. The team can focus solely on you

When it comes to exclusive use wedding venues, it’s all about you. With no other wedding parties to manage or cater for, every single member of the events team can focus on you and making sure your day runs smoothly. When opting for exclusive use at Hodsock Priory, you know that our team are able to give you their undivided attention rather than juggling the needs of several couples simultaneously. What’s not to love about that?

2. Everyone can truly relax

For the ultimate home from home feel, it has to be exclusive use. At Hodsock we love welcoming people into our beautiful venue, and we want you and your guests to feel completely at ease. Whether that’s exploring our glorious grounds or kicking back in front of a roaring fire with an excellent glass of wine, we’ve got you covered.

3. You won’t bump into another bride

Can’t bear the thought of bumping into another bride or groom as you have your couple shots taken? We get it. Your wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion and if you don’t want to share your day with anyone else that’s absolutely understandable. Thankfully, with an exclusive use venue like Hodsock Priory you won’t have to worry about any other brides and grooms making an appearance on your big day.

4. Freedom to really personalise the space

When you don’t have to share the space with another couple, you can really go to town on personalising your venue. From opulent floral archways to quirky DIY signage outside, there’s no restrictions on where you can add a personal touch to your day. At Hodsock Priory the only thing we ask is that all candle flames are contained in either hurricane vases or lanterns, and that nothing is attached to our walls, ceiling or floor. We can’t wait to see what you do with the place!

5. Absolute privacy

A huge benefit of choosing an exclusive use wedding venue is the privacy. It’s natural to want to be able to celebrate your wedding day with ‘your people’, without a group of strangers wandering past mid confetti throw, and this is exactly what exclusive use offers. Just you and your guests, celebrating the biggest day of your life, with zero distractions.

6. Make the most of all the rooms and grounds

If you make the decision to book a venue, it’s usually because you love all that it offers. Instead of having to share this space with another couple, exclusive use gives you the freedom to make the most of all of your venue rooms and the grounds. Whether you choose to set up a chill-out room inside for guests who need a break from dancing or a fun soft-play area outside for little guests, Hodsock Priory is all yours to enjoy.

7. No hidden extras

Quite often, with exclusive use venues the cost is all-inclusive, meaning you don’t have to worry about any hidden extras appearing as you get stuck into planning. At Hodsock, we have a number of bespoke packages to suit your big day style, from luxurious weekend-long weddings to perfectly curated ‘all in’ offers covering everything from venue hire and food to flowers and evening entertainment. Use the quote builder on our website to get an idea of how much your dream day could cost.

8. Security

Another reason to choose an exclusive use wedding venue is the security it provides. With just you and your guests on-site, you can relax knowing there’s no chance of any gate crashers turning up for your first dance or taking advantage of the free bar.

9. Exclusive access to accommodation

As well as exclusive use of the venue for your wedding day, most will offer the option of on-site accommodation exclusively for you and your guests. Enjoying nightcaps with friends and then a leisurely breakfast the next morning really helps to stretch out the celebrations and make more memories. Hodsock Priory has 17 stylish bedrooms available exclusively for you and your guests, including a lavish Honeymoon Suite we guarantee you won’t want to leave!
