With the gardens in full bloom, the sun shining and the pink blossom doing its thing, Hodsock is the dream venue for a spring wedding. Becky and Grant’s April wedding at Hodsock Priory showed how timeless an English Country Garden theme big day can be. From the elegant touches of dusky blue to the classic reception styling, everything about this stylish spring wedding came together to create the chicest of celebrations.

The morning of the wedding

Becky started her wedding day in style, booking the Honeymoon Suite to get ready alongside her bridesmaids and her mum. With no worries about travelling to the venue, Becky was able to fully relax with her friends and family. Surrounded by the luxury of Hodsock’s spacious and elegant on-site bedroom, it was the perfect way to start the day.

There was time for champagne with her bridesmaids before the sweetest of ‘First Looks’ with her dad. It was a very emotional moment when Becky’s father saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. The couple’s wedding photographer, Elise Kasak, captured this unforgettable moment perfectly.

Becky’s glamorous bridal style

Bride Becky looked absolutely breath-taking in her form fitting lace bridal gown. The intricately embroidered dress featured a deep V neckline, fashion-forward lace illusion detailing and glamorous floral appliqué. Paired with classic jewellery, sparkly heels, a cathedral length veil and a relaxed up-do, Becky looked right at home in the grand surroundings of Hodsock Priory.

Grant channelled an English country gent vibe with his three-piece suit. The checked waistcoat and dusky blue touches of the tie and pocket handkerchief really brought the look together. The couple’s bridesmaids looked relaxed and stylish in their floor-length one shoulder gowns in signature dusky blue, perfect for this April wedding at Hodsock Priory.

The romantic april wedding ceremony

Becky and Grant exchanged vows in the contemporary surroundings of Hodsock’s striking Buchanan Hall. Offering a more modern take on the English country house style, the ceremony room was dressed simply with romantic blooms. The aisle was framed with a circular arch, decorated with hanging fabric and trailing flowers of white and light blue.

The white and blue wedding details

Hodsock Priory provides and opulent and sophisticated setting for your big day, and our bride and groom let the venue speak for itself. Elegant monochrome signs welcomed guests to the wedding and helped set the tone for the day. We love the upcycled mirror used for the seating plan – such a great touch.

Hodsock’s stylish Pavilion was the setting for the wedding breakfast. This striking light and airy space with statement floor to ceiling windows allowed the April sunshine to pour in. Here, tables were dressed with textured dusky blue runners and pretty circular hoop floral arrangements. Matched with personalised iced biscuit favours, crisp white linen and sparkling glassware, the overall effort felt classic with a modern twist.
