A spring real wedding at Hodsock Priory
The sun was shining for Francesca and Ryan’s beautiful May wedding. To start the day, the bride pulled up at Hodsock Priory in a dreamy convertible Rolls-Royce Corniche. What. An. Entrance.

Hodsock’s Buchanan Hall created the perfect backdrop for their romantic ceremony. The unique mix of classic country house charm and contemporary style really came into its own for the ceremony. Francesca and Ryan celebrated the laid-back elegance of this space with the simple additions of minimalist chair backs and green and white floral displays. The grand chandeliers and twinkling, floating tea lights in large vases at the end of the aisle, helped to up the romance factor even more.

The wedding dress
Francesca looked absolutely stunning in her fashion-forward take on a princess gown. The sweetheart neckline, paired with a tiered skirt channelled a dramatic, contemporary feel that looked perfectly at home at Hodsock. Her veil, dotted with pearl embellishments, pearl earrings and ribbon-tie high heeled sandals completed the modern bridal look. Ryan and his wedding party matched the glamorous dress code in sharp tuxes, while the bridesmaids looked elegant in champagne satin maxi dresses.

The spring wedding details
Francesca and Ryan carried on the glamorous theme throughout their spring real wedding at Hodsock Priory. A monochrome table plan, place settings, menus and wedding timeline, in bold typography, helped guide guests through the day, while the addition of dainty macarons as favours, hit the right sophisticated note.

The couple worked with Hodsock Priory’s head chef to create their perfect wedding day menu with a delicious risotto to start, beef bourguignon for main and raspberry posset for dessert. Foodie heaven!

The evening reception at Hodsock Priory
As the perfect spring day turned into night, Francesca marked the start of the party with an epic outfit change, swapping her wedding gown for a slinky dress to dance the night away. Francesca and Ryan made the most of Hodsock Priory’s spacious Pavilion, throwing an unforgettable wedding party for all their guests. Woodfired pizzas were served to help guests refuel as they partied to a live band until late.

From start to finish, Francesca and Ryan’s spring real wedding at Hodsock Priory was packed with personality, glamour and style. Making the most of all the beautiful spaces Hodsock has to offer, the day was fun and very cool – just like the couple! All photography by the hugely talented and wonderful Jessica Sommerville.
