Your indoor ceremony at Hodsock Priory
From light and airy spaces to cosy, intimate settings, Hodsock has a great choice or indoor ceremony locations to choose from.
The Panelled Hall
Hodsock Priory is a venue steeped in history, and nowhere is this more apparent than in our atmospheric Panelled Hall. With antique furniture, old family portraits, a grand fireplace and beautiful oak panelling, it’s a dramatic setting for your wedding ceremony, whatever time of year. Large windows allow the light to flood in and the views out over Hodsock’s North Lawn and gardens are just incredible. Here you can share your vows in front of up to 80 guests.

The Buchanan Hall
Offering a more contemporary backdrop for your ceremony, Buchanan Hall has that English country house feel, but with a more minimalistic, pared- back feel. Perfect for you to style with floral displays, candles and statement arches, to suit the style of your day. With room for up to 100 guests, it provides a chic ceremony space, with natural wooden floors, neutral-coloured walls, an open fireplace and antique chandeliers.

For big celebrations
If you’re planning a big wedding, our modern Pavilion is the perfect choice. With room for up to 130 guests, this light-filled blank canvas is ready for you to dress and style however you choose. With doors opening out onto Hodsock’s Italian terrace, there’s not far to go for you and your guests to enjoy drinks and canapes – with knockout views – once the ‘I do’s are over.

For smaller celebrations
Hodsock Priory has two welcoming spaces, just right for more intimate wedding days. The Library, with room for 28 guests, and the Ante Room, suitable for up to 15 guests, still deliver on style and period features, while being cosy enough to suit a small gathering.

Your outdoor ceremony at Hodsock Priory
Surrounded by 800 acres of glorious Nottinghamshire countryside, Hodsock Priory has some of the most romantic outdoor spaces for an alfresco wedding ceremony.
The Gazebo
Set away in a secluded spot amongst Hodsock Priory’s charming gardens, our Georgian-style gazebo is licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies. With space for up to 130 guests, the gazebo provides the prettiest of focal points for your vows. Work with our events team to put your own stamp on things, with floral displays, organza curtains, chair backs and more, or let the picturesque setting speak for itself. Either way, it’s an unforgettable place for a very special wedding ceremony.

The Gardens
At Hodsock Priory, we want to help you bring your dream wedding day to life, which is why we offer such flexibility when it comes to outdoor ceremonies. If you’re opting for a celebrant-led wedding service, you can make the most of our gorgeous grounds by choosing your own spot for the ceremony. Whether that’s surrounded by the heady scent of roses in our English country garden, in our magical woodland (extra special when the bluebells are in bloom) or lakeside, for a bohemian feel, we can make it work for you.

The Tudor Gatehouse
Dating back to the 16th century, the Tudor Gatehouse is one of Hodsock’s most spectacular sights. The grand, brick archway makes a stunning backdrop for a celebrant-led ceremony. Talk about the wow factor!

A religious ceremony at Hodsock Priory
While we are unable to host religious ceremonies at Hodsock, we are lucky enough to have the idyllic Grade I listed Church of St Mary & St Martin, just two miles away in the village of Blyth. It’s a beautiful, historic setting for a church ceremony. And, of course, the Hodsock Priory team will be on hand to welcome you with a glass of fizz when you arrive for your reception.
